2020 CARHA Hockey World Cup team alert!
This team hails from Lausanne, Switzerland. They go by Dubinet, with the name coming from their founders back in in the 1980’s. Founding members Gerard Dubi and Claude Friedrich formed Dubinet as a way to show appreciation to a group of people who actively supported the Lausanne Hockey Club (LHC) for many years.
Dubinet has been around for over 30 years now, acquiring recreational players as well as retired professional hockey players, including Anton Stastny, who was the first Slovakian born player to play in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Watch for these guys as they hit the ice in Richmond in 2020 so they can show us some Swiss skill.
Hockey is their main sport in Lausanne as they even have a professional team - Lausanne Hockey Club - who play in the National League. LHC averages nearly 7,000 fans per game, which ranks them in the top half of the league for most spectators. Needless to say, Lausanne is a hockey city.
If there is one thing for sure, Dubinet shares the burning passion for hockey that we all have and that is exactly why they will be attending the CARHA Hockey World Cup in 2020.
