A Local Team Enters the Fray!

Hockey Tourney Dangleberries are associated with CARHA Hockey, so when they heard the CARHA Hockey World Cup was coming to their city, it was a no-brainer to take part.
Check out what they had to say about their team and the cities of Richmond and Vancouver!
Tell us about your team – what’s your team name, where are you from, and when were you founded?
Our team name is Hockey Tourney Dangleberries. Hockey Tourney was founded in late 2013 and it's gone from a small group of players playing shinny regularly to hundreds of players who participate in Vancouver tournaments, league and shinny hosted by Hockey Tourney.
Being located in nearby Vancouver, what we can expect from the next host city of our event?
Given the weather lately we could have snow for the World Cup. Vancouver is a beautiful city so for any players who have not visited they can expect a diverse multi-cultural city with excellent food and drinks.
Tell us about the Richmond Olympic Oval, the Richmond Ice Centre, and Minoru Arena, and what tournament attendees can look forward to here!
Those arenas are excellent facilities, with the Oval built during the 2010 Olympics!
We’ll be bringing teams and players from all across the world to Richmond and Vancouver for the World Cup – what makes the area so great?
The area is great for the beautiful scenery and small town feel in a fairly big city. There are plenty of activities to do outdoors all year round making Vancouver an excellent destination for this tournament.
What draws you to the CARHA Hockey World Cup?
We use CARHA Hockey's services regularly, so naturally when an opportunity came to enter a tournament in our hometown, we jumped at the chance.
