Great Scot!

For the past few months, we have been posting country features on all of our attending countries for the 2020 CARHA Hockey World Cup in Richmond, British Columbia.

Up next - Scotland!

Ice hockey is Scotland’s most popular indoor sport. Hockey is as old as time in Scotland. Although the sport's introduction to Scotland was in the early 1900's, the roots of hockey go much deeper than this. “Shinty”, the English origin of ice hockey, has been played for decades before. Scotland is home to one of the oldest teams in Britain, Fife Flyers. They have four teams whom play in the Elite Ice Hockey League. Ice Hockey is a growing sport in Scotland with history like no other.
