|Wednesday, December 12, 2018|
HC Icebreakers, a team that has attended the CARHA Hockey World Cup in the past, but after missing a few, are now ready to return for more.
We asked Jyrki Haatanen some questions about the team!
Tell us about your team – what’s your team name, where are you from, and when were you created?
Our team name is HC Icereakers and we are coming from Finland, specifically the city of Lahti.
Have you been to the CARHA Hockey World Cup in the past?
The last time HC icebreakets were in Canada for the CARHA Hockey World Cup was in 2008, when we played in the 40+ division!
What makes you want to travel to Canada for hockey?
It is always nice to travel to Canada, where hockey is the most popular sport and so important to the people. We are also excited that we might get to go to an NHL game while we're there.
What are you most excited for in the city of Richmond in 2020?
To see our hockey friends from all over the world, play the game hockey, and of course have some good times and make memories as well.
What do you love about the game of hockey?
Ice hockey is a nice relaxing sport with a good sense of humour in the locker room. It's always nice to spend time together with a group of guys that are on the same level mentally.
