Checking in from Finland

Soho HC was formed in 2016 to be the first addition and the first ice hockey team to the sports organization called Soho Sporting Society. Since it was founded in 2008, Soho Sporting Society formerly had two football (soccer) teams and in 2017, it houses those two soccer teams (Soho SS and Soho Seniors) and two ice hockey teams (Soho HC and Soho HCII) with other sports teams soon to follow.
They found out about the CARHA Hockey World Cup shortly the team's inception. While enjoying drinks at one of our sponsor bars, we came across an amateur documentary about a team that attended your tournament in 2016. After watching the whole documentary series, we visited your website and upon learning that the next tournament will be held in 2020, made it our four-year project to attend. Relishing the prospect of playing against recreational hockey teams from other countries in the original country of hockey means the world to us, and we can't wait for time to fly by until March of 2020!
Even though hockey has been the most popular sport in Finland for decades now, Finnish hockey has indeed seen an international surge in recent years. International success and the quality of our professional players, especially the younger generation of players, has lead to even higher interest in the sport of hockey in our small country.
Soho HC and their parent organization share their core values unequivocally. We love sports, and the prospect of offering people a communal environment to participate in sports they adore and want to partake in. Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin and color of skin. We also have an unquestionable zero tolerance for racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination.
They are looking forward to taking in the mood and attending fiercely fought but fun matches during the tournament! They are serious about the sport, while at the same time don't take anything too seriously. Their dressing room is full of bad jokes and a funny atmosphere which they intend to bring with them when they attend the World Cup. They love hockey and are damn sure it will be quite obvious in everything we do!
