Jaromir Jagr Records Point Number 1,900
|Thursday, February 16, 2017|
Jaromir Jagr became the second player ever to reach 1,900 career points on Wednesday, the other being of course the Great One, Wayne Gretzky.
Since Jagr entered the league in 1990, he has far more points than anyone who has been in the league during that time span.
What makes his accomplishment even more spectacular is that he left the NHL to play in Europe for several seasons during his career. Needless to say, he would definitely be above 2,000 points right now had he stayed in the NHL for the duration of his career, and he may even be in pursuit of Wayne Gretzky's records.
We may never see another player like Jaromir Jagr. To play for this long in an age where the league is so physical and so demanding on your body is incredible.
The question is, is he even going to retire any time soon? And if he does, how long until he joins a team in the Czech Republic, his home country, and we see him here competing in the CARHA Hockey World Cup?
